Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Systems Integration Engineer to join our team! As a systems integrator, you primarily combine subsystems into one integrated solution and perform job duties such as purchasing subsystems from different contracted vendors, assessing information technology (IT) system requirements, creating an integration plan or solution, and building a personalized application. The Systems Integration Specialist provides functional and technical expertise to innovation leadership for purposes of system assessments, selection, design, and implementation. The Systems Integration Engineer will lead and contribute to a variety of complex projects, ensuring seamless integration of hardware, software, assays, and other product components. The role encompasses the development, verification, and validation of designs to enhance functionality, troubleshoot issues, and support innovation in IVD systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing plans for integrating hardware, software, and assay components.
- Spearhead strategies for the effective integration of diagnostic tools and technologies as well as oversee and conduct functional evaluations of new analyzers, configurations, and system components, ensuring alignment with design parameters.
- Design and execute experiments using Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies, applying advanced statistical tools to interpret results and informing design refinements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Systems Engineering, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Assay Development, and occasionally Marketing and Clinical Operations.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex system-level issues to maintain optimal functionality and represent the Verification team in core project discussions and cross-functional collaborations.
- Analyze verification data to ensure it meets specifications and document findings in detailed reports.
- Develop and execute system development protocols and manage data analysis packages for moderately complex projects and perform traceability analyses to ensure requirements are adequately addressed by testing protocols.
- Evaluate technical risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies and contribute to risk management activities, including System Hazard Analyses (SHA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA).
- Support investigations into system performance issues and recommend corrective actions and communicate findings effectively across multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, quality, and regulatory groups.
- Manage and execute the integration and migration of systems, including ADP and Salesforce CRM, in collaboration with agency developers and third-party vendors and consultants.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify integration points and opportunities for improvement.
- Map, clean, and validate data for migration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project alignment with business needs.
- Configure system settings, workflows, and user roles to meet project specifications.
- Coordinate testing efforts, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate system functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues during and after implementation.
- Develop documentation for processes, configurations, and best practices.
- Provide training and support to end users to ensure adoption and effective use of integrated systems.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend improvements to integration practices.
Qualifications
- A master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- 5 years of relevant systems integration experience, preferably in In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) system, API’s, ETL Tools and Middleware or software development with a background in science or engineering is strongly preferred.
- 5 years of experience with data mapping, cleaning, and validating the data for migration, including ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
- Experience with enterprise-level systems like ADP, Salesforce, or equivalent platforms.
- Great communication & organizational skills
Compensation: $60.00 per hour
